Ruxandra Lupu
Visual artist, printmaker and digital humanities researcher
Bio
Ruxandra holds a Bachelor and Master’s in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania (Italy) and is passionate about crafts, arts and design-driven innovation. For Ruxandra, the collaborative and communal spirit characterizing any craft practice is the foundation of our humanity and the future.
She is currently managing the SOMAS project as a main researcher. She has previously worked as a research associate and postdoctoral researcher for universities in Europe (Jean Monnet University France, Cardiff University UK), as well as for research councils (National Italian Research council).
Originally from Romania, she studied in Italy, Spain and the UK, worked in Romania, Italy, UK and is now based in Cyprus for the SOMAS project. She loves hikes, cooking, books, and wine.
